Logic Puzzle
In 1987, a Window Art competition took place in Tokyo. It was a challenge to reproduce pictures at night by lighting some rooms, in a skyscraper. Non Ishida participated in the competition, and won first prize.
While Non Ishida was looking at the building, illuminated with her winning design, ‘Princess of the Moon’, she realized the final form for Nonograms, or ‘Paint By Numbers’. Nonograms soon became the primary subset of a picture-logic puzzle. The cells in the grid have to be colored, or left blank, according to numbers, given at the side of the grid, to reveal a hidden picture.
Fortunately for you, the logic puzzle that follows doesn’t involve paint or brush, although they do demand an iota of grey matter…

New Game of The Week

With touches of canasta, rummy, and poker, this game could easily become a Friday-night favorite. The object is to get a “sequence,” meaning a row of five poker-like chips on the game board. The board itself depicts lines of face-up playing cards. Players place their “crowning” chips on top of the card pictures, and can form sequences by using strategy and knowing which Sequence cards to keep or discard. Since forethought, luck, and backup plans are the keys to winning, this game is probably too sophisticated for children under 7 years old. (But young ones can team up with adults.) Included are 104 playing cards and 50 crowning chips in each color: red, blue, and green.

Sudoku Humor
At 85 years, Morris, a Sudoku addict, marries a lovely 25 year old woman who shares his love for Sudoku. The couple decide to solve a Sudoku puzzle together, every night, before going to their separate bedrooms to sleep.
After the wedding festivities as the bride prepares to go to bed a knock comes on the door, and there is her groom ready to solve that Sudoku puzzle. They crack it about twenty minutes later, whereupon he takes his leave of her and she prepares to go to sleep for the night. After a few minutes there’s a knock on the door and there old Morris is again ready for one more Sudoku puzzle. Ten minutes later, she is close to sleep, for the second time when there is another knock at the door and there he is again fresh as a 25 year old and ready for one more Sudoku.
Eight minutes later, with the puzzle solved, the young bride says to him, “I am really impressed that a man your age has so much passion for Sudoku. Guys less than half your age don’t have such stamina for solving Sudoku……you’re truly a Sudoku addict, Morris.” Morris looks confused, and turns to her and says, “Was I already here?”

Math Puzzle
Answer:The mothers worked between 7 hours and 18 minutes and 12 hours and 15 minutes on an average.
Now considering the total number of mothers is equal to 100.
Then considering the minimum amount they would work we can say for mother’s working in different categories as follows: 10 + 120 + 300 + 300 = 730 hours are worked by 100 mothers. So the average is 7.30 hours.
Now considering the maximum they could have worked assuming 25 hours is the maximum we have 50 + 200 + 600 + 375 = 1225 hours by 100 mothers.
So, 12.25 hours on an average.
So, they worked between 7 hours and 18 minutes and 12 hours and 15 minutes on an average.
